Enjoy the process @Daddy Kong :)

I'm planning to have a go this weekend. It's theoretically possible if everything goes well on the day.

Well done @Autumnleaves medal

Good luck @Daddy Kong, I'm also doing a HM after a long gap (8.5 years). Except mine is also this weekend. I can guarantee it will not be sub-2. My last one was, not by much, so I'll need a significant WAVA improvement to do it again.

@Snail, is it on for April 25 now?

(In @Velociraptor, I have (conditions permitting) every faith.)

Unfortunately picked up a muscle injury that has mucked up the last 6months for both running and longer walks. Did a very good 5 mile running event in March and it would have been interesting if I had carried on running to see where that would have taken me towards a HM time. Am on a course of physio at moment but not sensing much progress. Would love to have another HM attempt next year but not feeling very confident at moment

Nae luck, Snail. Best wishes for your recovery and return.

In my HM today, I was 30% away from being sub-2. Work needed.

I confess to not having suspected I had that in me just now. But it felt really comfortable throughout. Not saying I could have run any faster, but I could have managed a few more miles at the same speed, which is just as well because a few more miles at that sort of speed is exactly what I hope for in two weeks' time.
