The lady who does boot camp isn't a fan of sit-ups and crunches and prefers to train all the core muscles.

You're the living proof how effective 'your' bootcamp is, Linds. :-)

I’m not sure if I declared this intention or not. With QP leaving I was aware of the need to find people to adventure with - I’m not great at social stuff. A friend added me to a ‘highland adventures’ messenger group but I’d always wimped out of group rides or hill days questioning my own skills/ability. A wee while back I did a decent ride with the friend, which gave me confidence to join a group ride (but only because I knew my friend’s partner was going and that she was relatively inexperienced). On Friday when Jo (experienced mountain biker) was looking to buddy up for a ride I pulled up my big girl pants and said I’d join her. So glad I did. The chat was good, I was more than capable of the ride, she gave me loads of good advice and she’s just ordered a new bike for me with her tredz discount.

Sorry for the long post.

You sort of declared it hp! I remembered writing something and I found it - back on the 8th of September. Bears repeating:

'So impressed with halfpint. Cheering wildly here as she refuses to be diminished by the two big start ups for the pint family. Qp off to college and hp doing lots of wonderful things both on her own and some with other - new - people!'

I think you're doing just FABULOUS!

The ‘pint family’ made me smile then and has again :-)

Third recce of Lady Anne’s Way today in the Dales. We did about 8 miles and the majority was new ground for me away from the obvious riverside path

Thanks sharkie. I could easily become a bit of a recluse so I need to keep stepping outside my comfort zone. Loving the bike and Jo is really keen to buddy up again :)

New territory is always good DT. I might have to go google your Lady Anne’s way.
