Maz, I'm going to start stopping stuff in September. I do too many different things, I'm getting old and school is soooo tiring at the moment.

After missing too many days in a row we did complete a dog walk yesterday :bows to madly applauding audience: And I got my weights out of the corner and picked them up and put them down again in a variety of ways, too. go me. After the 20th I will also be starting another new thing - Project Joker. there won't be much September left by that point, though. |

Mowed lawn again yesterday and have learned how to use our coffee machine. I think we got it before or around the time Tuss came to us and he was six years old recently ![]() |

Rest day yesterday (well lots of driving to mum’s !) Today I’m hopefully starting to sort house for new kitten! Also need to do a prep leg loosen bike session for tomorrow’s FTP test on the bike One thing I definitely need to do is actually do strength and conditioning work How to make this a habit though? |

I'm a huge fan of Oliver Burkeman, who has sadly just stopped writing 'this column will change your life' in the grauniad theguardian.com and I'm sure he did a piece about how to form good habits (definitely one about how to break bad habits), but it would have been a while ago. The main things I remember are about lowering the bar to entry - so making doing the thing as easy for yourself to do as possible, and tagging it on to something else that you already do regularly. My personal failure to actually form the good habits I have been half heartedly trying to form for ages shouldn't be taken as a reflection on the underlying principles - the problem is more to do with my motivation than anything else, I think. |

Yeah that's good advice, Raemond. Aren't you a triathletey person? Perhaps you could advise Pix how to add a bitof S&C work without overdoing it (setting the bar too high). I'm a huge fan of resistance work for women. Linds - who also does swim/bike/run was only saying yesterday just how beneficial she'd found lockdown bootcamp has been to her overall strength and fitness. Doesn't have to be much. I like workouts that last 30 minutes or less. (I like half day or more power/speed/tech training sessions too but that's another story and I'm not training for a multi endurance thing like Outlaw's tris. When's your event Pix? |

Sharkie that’s the annoying thing I know I should do it I know it is good for me (especially at my age) and all that good stuff I just don’t do it! I even like yoga! |
