Flatlander - It certainly didn't feel like a big 'company' run half marathon. I have done MK and it felt more 'local' than that.

I'm not sure that Grunty Fen is gone for good. I was under the impression that it was a year off. Having said that the chairman's message does mention 'natural end' but it wasn't what I'd thought was happening from the discussion I was party to as part of the club.

The minutes of the Ely meeting implied GF might not be gone for good, I thought. Or at least that something might replace it, even if it wasn't exactly the same race. I hope so; I like it, even if I do always run terrible times.
St Neots is fast, though part of it for me is probably always coming in on the back of at least one recent half. That said, I got a PB there the first time I ran it, then the second, then couldn't get near that time anywhere for several years, finally beating it by 30 seconds with the help of an excellent pacer in Nellers after a good year with two times only 2 minutes outside the PB. I'm not entering any races until/unless the knee trouble gets fixed, though.

I have a place going spare - but I've no idea if transfers are allowed or how to do it (was so much easier on the old Riverside site)
Sad to miss the Fetchfest, family stuff intruding (well that's my excuse, not having run more than 10K for months would be just as accurate)
