More to the point, I would like NOT to hear lots of high-profile cyclists or other people in the cycling business making comments that suggest they're not entirely at ease with saying, "Doping is wrong." That suggests that either they're not clean or they're reluctant to tread on someone's toes.

""The UCI haven't dealt with the problem""
I think there's a pretty good case to be made that the UCI are themselves a *massive* part of the problem.

True. The evidence is that they were at best ignorant and at worst wilfully complicit.

It was a deliberate understatement of mine about the UCI. They seems even less capable than Gordon Brown.

P.E...
Finally finished reading the 200+ page report - all I can say is it's kind of what I expected to be honest. As soon as this USADA announced it I thoght the report had to be something along these lines.
I think most of what i'm feeling has been mentioned here (UCI just totally confuse me right now...).
I don't think Sky have doped (maybe riders have done individually) but even then I think now it's too hard to dope with traditional drugs. I'm sure there was a leaked list of people on the suspicious list because of the biological passport and Geraint Thomas was ranked highly due to an illness or some such? I just think now if you're doping you're are having to do it such small amounts so that your profile doesn't get skewed that it's not the be all and end all.
Vaughters article was interesting a few months back when he was comparing the benefit of using EPO for two riders with similar stats http://www.bicycling.com/garmin-insider/featured-stories/exclusive-interview-vaughters-reveals-more-about-his-doping-and-new-?page=0,3
Hopefully this is a watershed moment for the sport but sadly I think this is going to lead to any number of court cases now (SCA vs Tailwind anyone?!?!)

Teaboy - when cycling is your job perhaps you just want to switch off and not bother with your smartphone or the internet when on holiday. I can read and reply to my work e-mails when on holiday, doesn't mean to say I do - and I definitely don't read 202 page reports on holiday. I could also sit there watching the news on TV or buy a newspaper, again I rarely do.
I can't think pro cyclists are too different from the rest of us.

Just watched Hamiltons interview on 60mins US. It all seems pretty damming, not sure that Hamilton is telling the whole truth. Stated he was clean when won the Olympics (residual dope in system) but seems to have been doped up for the rest of his career.
