Dowsett should have a decent intellect. He went to a good enough school...

I do agree with sportsmen lacking judgement, however...

Going to a good school isn't sign of common sense or intellect, especially where sport is involved. Good sports people can get away with all sorts at school as they give the school a lot of publicity!

"Legend" is slightly inaccurate. Mr Armstrong will be remembered as a lesson from history about how something that seems to good to be true invariably IS too good to be true :(

I don't know if he did. I'd left long before he was there.

He's just clarified his stance on twitter. Quote taken out of context!

I had an interesting lunch hour speed-reading the 202 pages of the USADA "reasoned decision", not read the appendices. There's a lot of repetition so it isn't too difficult to do. It is absolutely astonishing.
For many years I've suspected many had taken PEDs apart from those who had admiited already , maybe in my heart of hearts I've known that Pro cycling was riddled with PEDs, but I've always taken heart from the fact that GB riders were clean. I do hope that will always hold and in 10 or 15 years time there will NOT be something similar to the USADA finding published that will affect GB cycling in the same way as this condemns Armstrong and his team members.

V'rap makes a good point..

Taylor Phinney has just tweeted to the editor of cyclingnews that he wants to read the whole report before commenting so he can give a considered educated response. Probably learnt from his mate Dowsett's mistake!

At least it will be a member of the peloton actually giving an opinion. Although I get the impression that they are keeping quiet lest they become the next target.

Well when you see what some people have said about Dowsett it's no wonder they want to keep quiet.

The thing is, it's end of season any riders are likely to be on holiday, about to go on holiday or involved in racing the last race of the year in China. Hardly easy to get views and comments from most of them is it?
