Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

A gentle reminder that we now have an additional SAP race ~ the 5km one :-) (Because, currently, it's first and second fastest are also the slowest and runner up slowest :-o )

Here's to a swift and speedy recovery to those who are currently benched through injury and/or plague status :-o

I've updated my SAP mile for Jan from my first run of the year on 2 Jan - this was basically a walk with a bit of a jog at the end so I could log it as a run/walk, so is shockingly slow - don't think it'll be beaten (by me or any of you other SAPpers!)

Nothing wrong with using Run Walk methods to get you there or further ~ I've become a bit of a fan of it too :-) (It's a pity that the run walk is on its own rather than a sub set for the various types (road/trail/cross country)

And, as a coincidence, our total run mileage for 2017 are the same ~ we're both choosing fighting back as best we can over just sitting and taking it ;-) :-)

Decided against parkrun on Saturday as the rest of the day is going to be pretty busy, so did 5k this morning and am taking this as my SAP 5k. About 3 mins slower than my "rtr" (return to running) pb but something to build from :-)

A smart move :-)

Working to a good and solid base is always a better plan than a foolhardy leap into regression ;-) bunting

Good running Kwala! Still no run from me yet this year, the lurgy has virtually gone but I have pulled a muscle today by my right rib cage which hurts like hell, coughing I think did it. So no plans to run yet but maybe next week, when I start my new job! I finished my old job today, lovely leaving do and presents from the nice people I work with (there were lots of lovely people, I just couldn't handle the not so nice people). So glad to have left there! Now I have a three day weekend and start my new job Monday :-) Whoop whoop!

Good luck in the new job L10 :-) Boo for the pulled muscle - wouldn't surprise me if coughing caused it, I think it's possible to break ribs from severe coughing :-O

Been to Slimming World this evening and decided to run/walk there and back, as it's less than a mile each way! So another 1.75 to add to my total!!
