Whoopy-do indeed Lem! :) Glad you finally got out of there. Silly Billy pulling a muscle now, once you finally get started you'll just have to keep rolling along. :)

kwala, you're becoming a machine! ;-) Have you done any weight lifting lately?

I know, AR, freaked myself out, but couldn't really justify taking the car for such a short journey!! I had 3 PT sessions before Christmas that my mum treated me to for my birthday, but nothing since then. I really should incorporate some kind of strength stuff into my training plan as I'm sure that what's allowed me to run again since all my knee issues - even just some basic squats would probably be beneficial.

Wombling Plodder (Welsh Womble)
just popping in to blast away those lurgies, and to let you know I survived week 1 in my new role ;-)

I see that 4 of us have already completed the 1 mile SAP (and Nutso has corrected her time lol) - don't forget the challenge is open until the end of the month.
fetcheveryone.com/viewracedetails.php?id=2031841

I also see that 3 of you have ticked off a 5km as well - and that the lovely Decorum has only gone and got a PB, with the others setting SBs for 2018. Tomorrow is another parkrun day so not too late to clock up a 5km time, I must do mine before the month is out ;-)
fetcheveryone.com/viewracedetails.php?id=2031844

The 5 miler will be opening on Sunday: fetcheveryone.com/viewracedetails.php?id=2031845

And the 10 miler on 21st Jan:

I will produce the RD report in early February :-) and will post up the Feb and Mar dates in a bit.

[It's not so much a PB for 5k run. The only Fetch listed 5k I'd done was Dr K's memorial run, last September. I was too ill to run, so I walked it instead ... hence the rather humongous improvement in times ;-) :-)

So, basically, the old 5k PB was actually a walk and the new one, well ... it's a wee bit slower than I was before the body blew up (again) :-o :-) ]

Wombling Plodder (Welsh Womble)
SAP events in Feb and Mar are ...

Feb
1 mile fetcheveryone.com/viewracedetails.php?id=2031849
5km fetcheveryone.com/viewracedetails.php?id=2031850
5 mile fetcheveryone.com/viewracedetails.php?id=2031851
10 mile fetcheveryone.com/viewracedetails.php?id=2031852

Mar
1 mile fetcheveryone.com/viewracedetails.php?id=2047778
5km fetcheveryone.com/viewracedetails.php?id=2063913
5 mile fetcheveryone.com/viewracedetails.php?id=2063914
10 mile fetcheveryone.com/viewracedetails.php?id=2063915

Also to spice things up a bit, I am introducing another SAP event each month - this one is to celebrate the fastest mile pace in a month - so just record your fastest pace time regardless of the distance (you can get this info from your training log).

January's will be on Thursday 25th January to celebrate the birth of Rabbie Burns, it's up to you if you don the tartan but do keep the bagpipes away from LipGloss and save me some veggie haggis!!
fetcheveryone.com/viewracedetails.php?id=2063916

And there could only be 1 event for February, yes you guessed it:
fetcheveryone.com/viewracedetails.php?id=2063917 - sorry all you pancake chasers

And as for March, it has to be Womble day (apologies to any of our Irish SAPS, but as the RD is Welsh then the daffodils win): fetcheveryone.com/viewracedetails.php?id=2063918

Hope you will join me in marking each occasion :-)

Lemon10
Thanks Womble, I look forward to running again and getting stuck into some of them soon! When I do start again it will be very slow and steady and lots of run - walking going on, and I can't wait! I have coughed too hard and pulled a muscle near my rib cage I think, very painful so no running yet though the cough is now much better!

I also went to doctors yesterday, I have a tiny lump on my nose. They photographed it and zoomed in on the photo and aren't sure what it is but are treating it as suspicious and said I would be getting referred to hosp within two weeks. At about half past five yesterday I was called by the Norfolk and Norwich hospital and offered an appointment this Thursday so how is that for service? Amazing. I am really worried, my granddad had skin cancer and I am so pale and have burnt more often than is good for you. So it might be nothing but I am expecting the worst as you do. Anyway I will know soon.

Right, I need to get ready, we are off to Norwich to meet up with Mr Lemon's daughter and do some shopping - I need some new tops to wear for my new job and he needs a nice winter coat / jacket. Have a lovely weekend everyone, enjoy parkrun or any runs and walks you do! :-)
