Good afternoon all. Lovely sunny day out there, is anyone at home enjoying this or are we all at work?

Frag - any decision made on Brighton marathon? I am the opposite to you, I would enter anything and everything if its a long way off! I believe anything is possible with enough notice, although as the date gets closer the doubts creep in and I sometimes wonder why on earth I signed up! That being said I am well up for my next event, Northampton Cakeathon and following that, Windermere Marathon.

Alpen I can see you clocking up the miles soon when you return home!

Helegant we are all now eagerly awaiting you getting 3 in a row, was the dog show good though? I don't have a dog (we are out of the house for about 10 hours a day) but I would like a retired greyhound maybe one day, a sofa-buddy!

Womble I hope you are on the mend now :-)

Waves at everyone, oh and I did the monthly race roundup for March - it's in the blogs for today and there were some stonking PBs and SBs this time!

Fragile Do Not Bend
I realised I have another week to decide as I got my dates muddled up as to when entries open. I think I probably will enter, and if I'm going to enter, I want to book it ASAP to get the cheaper price.

Just got to hope some bit of me doesn't fall off in the next year...

Good afternoon everyone - it's a bit quiet in here this week, you must all be out enjoying the sunshine! :-p (Sorry, I know that lots of you have to work.)

I got back on Tuesday and finally got out for my first run this morning, lovely day for it too. I've also managed to squish all my bugs already - a load on my bike yesterday and the rest on my run. :) I thought I might do a bit of gardening this afternoon but I can feel my bum already so spending time catching up with Fetch. Just lots of blogs to read now.........

Laters.......... :)

I am currently on injury bench having totally messed up my back. NO running until next week at least, and bike is looking doubtful.

Fragile Do Not Bend
Hope you feel better soon MM.

Aagh, I wish my husband was a runner, it would make me feel less guilty about doing a race that takes up precious 'us' time. There is a 10mile race on Friday at a nearby seaside town that we were planning to visit on that day anyway, but the rest of the long weekend is a bit of a write off as I'm working on Saturday and we are visiting his family in Norwich on Sunday and Monday.

I would like to enter as the race has been recommended to me and it's nice and flat, but I reckon that waiting around at the start, the race, then going to the pool to use the showers is going to take 3 hours out of the day which is a big chunk.

I keep telling myself I can do it another year!

That what I always think when I have a race or any long run on a Sunday, I have been encouraging him to play more golf on a Sunday ;-)

Speaking of long runs I ran my furthest yesterday (17) with some chums who are training for a marathon and so me and DQ's daughter joined them for a some training, quite enjoyed it and it kept my pace fairly even. Took us to 10.5 miles before we needed to walk although we stopped for bites at 5.5, then I started to struggle about 12 miles mainly due to the surface but once we had another pit stop at 14 which up to then had been my longest I felt good to finish ( haha I should have written a blog )

Timaru hope your race went well yesterday, really warm for you lot down south.

Hope everyone is fine and well :-)

Nutso Lazytoad!
Frag my hubby is a runner sometimes it would be easier if he wasn't lol he gets me into some very silly races!

Lg amazing just amazing I can't imagine ever running that far

Physio for me tonight lost all the original excercises as he is happy with the profess but got 5 new ones mostly for the pesky niggly knee! Also got one for my Achilles which has a bit of a bursa? Not sure on the spelling on it, so stretching to keep range of motion improving.
