I'm not doing a marathon but want to see if I could do the training for one without the pressure of knowing I had to train....if that makes sense. Woke up yesterday to what I thought was midgie bites, showed them to a doctor at work today and it shingles again but up round my waist area |

bad luck on the shingles - you and Andy Murray hang out much? I urge you to read The Non-Runners Marathon Trainer by David Whitsett . . . even if you're not actually planning a marathon amazon.co.uk (but use fetch's link if you're actually going to buy it, some great experiences etc. in it |

Wombling Plodder (Welsh Womble)
Oh bugger LG :-/ take care hun. I am getting better although the black dog has also been snapping at my heels so I took myself off for lunch after CBT today and had a liquid one!! Probably not one of my best ideas but the line is drawn in the sand again and I am pretending to be a caterpillar that is going to morph into a butterfly. Perhaps I should buy some wings for my next run Will take a leaf out out Nutso's book and seek out the echinacea xx Enjoy the white fluffy stuff Alpenrose After my walk to the hospital today and into town and back (circa 3 miles) I am absolutely worn out (nothing to do with the liquid lunch) so not sure if I am going to get any running in this week - tomorrow I have a new pilates class for runners and am in London on Thursday so that means a 3 mile walk. I might stick to some fast walking this week whilst I blitz this lurgy and my plan is to walk the 10km race route on Sunday in my trail shoes and then I only have a week to panic |

oh shingles - not good Hope it clears up soon LG Went to club tonight, had decided on a shorter (1.5 mile) route as I got back ache last week when I went the longer run. Only got to 1/2 mile before I decided to come back as it was really painful. Going to give club a miss on Thursday and do some core work and lower back exercises and hopefully get this sorted once and for all. It's really frustrating |
