Well done LG. At Parkrun, for the first time for... ages... I suddenly found myself with properly warmed up muscles, working lungs, and enough energy to keep going and I had one of those 'I remember what it is like to be able to keep running' moments of calm happiness. It was enough to make me want to go out and run again soon. |

Helegant that sounds like a great return to parkrun! LG lol at running past the ex but seriously well done on the 14 miles! Have some for that! Nutso your muddy run sounds fun and similar to mine today. One of those runs you really enjoy. Mine was an 8 miler on a route we don't often use and included climbing over a huge fallen tree across the trail and tiptoeing past a sleeping border collie at the dairy farm. Just what I needed, a great fun run! |

Great running from you all today. I'm not sure if your hill was steeper than mine though Nut. So what is LG training for with all these long runs? I saw lots of mud today, but walking alongside the Beaulieu River in the New Forest. |

Frag - felicitations Helegant - well done on Parkrun - I did the St Albans one (last month) and was staggered at how busy it is now compared to a couple of years back L10 - I'd like to have pictures of the tiptoeing Apologies to anyone on the previous page - do we know how DoD is doing at the moment? |

Well done on the long run LG - did you add your sighting to "things I saw on my run"?! And well done to all for climbing giant hills, muddy runs, not waking the dog up, parkrun and everything else you've all been up too.

Hi all, looks like there is some good running going on and some lovely sounding ones too Congrats LG on your longest run I must be run down as I have the lurgy again, not sure if the rain and hailstones at Selsey 10km last weekend had anything to do with it. I have spent the weekend in bed after a few days of feeling rotten and coughing/sneezing - I must find a way to build up my immune system as this year is my year. Last weekend I RWd my first 10km in 4 years and had to dig deep when the hailstones attacked at 4km. Next one in 2 weeks time - it's a trail one so not sure what to expect, should have gone out for a recce yesterday so will do that next weekend. Anyhow here is Challenge 1 of 2017: facebook.com prior to the hailstones from hell Have a good week everyone, hopefully I can go out for a bimble tomorrow! |
