Not sure if it was anyone here who bet on me for Peterhead 10k but you should get your credits back as I have removed it. I was too late in entering so didn't get a place, besides nowhere near PB fit at the moment so you would have lost I'm afraid.

Nic pic DQ and that looks like LG in the background. I don't know how you can still run in those short shorts, my leggings finally came out last week so that'll be that until maybe next spring.

Fragile Do Not Bend
Well done Stew, love the shorts DQ!

Does anyone else really struggle when they are increasing the length of their long runs? I don't mean the actual run, but coping with the rest of the day?

Yesterday morning I ran 11 miles, which is the longest run I've done since the spring due to injuries. I coped fine with the run itself but for the rest of the day I was incredibly hungry (not surprising) but also mentally so tired, my brain wasn't functioning properly again until the evening.

I'm thinking I might do my next long run in the late afternoon so I can sleep it off instead.

Each time I do 10 I find I'm less fatigued Frag. I think that's what it's all about though. ;-) I do find that a soak in the bath also helps me but I can't seem to get much energy to do much else for the day though.
Well done for getting out there Stew. :)

We had track on Monday and I knew I had fatigued legs but I think it's all part of my long term improvement. I'm just wondering if I'll ever get any quicker. :-p

Well spied AR that was indeed me in the background giving lots of encouragement. I ran in my capris but wish I had run in my shorts and vest because once we got going it was indeed a wee bit warm. I don't like long tights unless it's really cold

Nesh? That's a new one on me Nutso don't think I've ever heard that being used up here.

Aye could hear LG encouraging us halfway down the hill! ;)

Fraggle I much prefer doing my long runs in the morning. Get them done and then get on with the day full of happy dolphins. I don't usually fade till the evening.

We used nesh in Liverpool, so maybe a general Northern thing rather than a Scottish thing? Well done to all who got out there today - Wednesday isn't a running day for me but tomorrow is - will report back :-)

Claire is it your first? if so make your aim to finish it without hating it, don't be time/speed focussed (although EVERYONE in the world will ask you afterwards how long it took - my stock answer was always "days")
