Glad your week's been better Lem. Enjoy your running this weekend - have you seen the weather forecast for tomorrow? :-o

I've decided to abandon my parkrun target now as a walk has been planned for a Saturday morning later this month and I'd rather go there.

I'm going to parkrun (I hope) but it's an inaugural in a town I've never been to, so I hope I find it OK :-) It will be slow because although flat, it includes a stretch of beach :-0

Thanks Alpen! Is it a shingle or sandy beach LD? I don't do shingle after a DNF at the north Norfolk coastal marathon this time last year! What a hoot, I can laugh about it now, never sworn so much in one day!

Evening folks, thank you so much for my birthday wishes. I never get over how lucky I am still to be getting spoiled at my age from family and friends. Pity my son who most of you know shares my birthday is very poorly and so has not had such a good day and even poor Alfie has the same bug as M4P's little one but he did manage to say happy birthday (well I think it was) to me.
I need to do parkrun and extra tomorrow and again on Sunday to make sure my 700 target does not slip away.
Nutso have a fab holiday and reallt looking forward to the photos as its somewhere I have never been.
Think I have to be really stict with myself as some of my friends forgot I have already my outfit for son's wedding lol

Enjoy the weekend

Sorry your son and Alfie are poorly though, hope they feel better soon. You are doing well with your 700 target. They can be hard to stick with! I started out aiming for 1000, dropped back to 700 and won't hit that, but all being well I think, or I hope to equal or beat last year, which is odd, because I felt like I ran more last year. Hang on, I need to re-check my figures...

Yes, 600 last year, 552 so far this year. I can beat last year! How on earth? I feel like this year I haven't run much at all, and yet I could end up with more or less the same as last year. How did that happen?! :-)

Have you made more of your runs longer this year?
I will *gingers crossed* get to my target but will just have to make the next few runs longer ones before the weather turns or at least do some Sunday running. I went to the gym on Tuesday and could only manage a couple of k's on the treadmil before I felt the shins so I don't want to rely on that.

Glad you had a nice day LG and sorry your loved ones are poorly. I can't believe that you haven't got Toblerone in amongst that lot! If you eat it all in one sitting it'll be gone so you won't put any weight on then. ;-)
