Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Hill walking round Braemar, mostly, HG. We can't go skiing or do anything too exciting whilst we've got our dog dog

Mr GM and I both love snow and rarely get much in northern Lincolnshire. Even when it snows in Doncaster, Lincoln, Market Rasen, Caister and Hull, we often don't get any so we are going to become snow hunters. Braemar is such a lovely place with everything we need for a week away without having to drive anywhere from the campsite. It's the snowiest place we've been to and often the coldest part of Britain :)

We went to Soldeu once, on a stag trip. Late season, skiing was well dodgy. Icy in the morning, ice-creamy at lunchtime, slush puppy in the afternoon. My mate Gordy went water-skiing at one point when he came round a corner to find a massive puddle of meltwater. Fortunately the bars were open and the weather was head-blisteringly sunny & hot!! :)

Blimey, I thought someone had been on here since the summer. :-o

Word from Austria today is that they're announcing tomorrow that Brits, Dutch and a couple of other countries will have to quarantine on arrival for something like 8 days, early release after 5 with a negative PCR test.

OK I've held off long enough.

If you're heading on a board or the planks, where are you off to?...
