France for us in the 2nd week of April looking very, very flaky at the moment. Will be gutted, as it would have been our first full family holiday for a while, and potentially the last time my 77yo dad will come on a skiing holiday, but there are bigger fish to fry of course.

Mass exodus from St Anton and Paznaun Valley (Ischgl) this afternoon and from 8pm this evening we're in 2 weeks quarantine.
Resorts now closed for the season.

I’m feeling very lucky indeed to have been in La Plagne / Les Arcs last week and to be home again without incident.
The super snow conditions were a bonus but I shan’t wax on about it. Suffice to say I’m grateful for a lovely family holiday and I’m truly sorry that a whole bunch of folks aren’t going to get the same this year.

Very lucky here too as my group usually comes for the second 2 weeks in March and we were early this year.
They're laying on another couple of buses today to get out but I've resigned myself to stay as I'm with family.

Imagine if you'd arrived yesterday thinking "phew, at least we can have our holiday..."
4 weeks until we should be there, with last night's closures zero chance of that now happening.

My friends seem to be having fun in the sun in Wengen. No skiing, just drinking.
They are not quite sure how they are getting home.

P&V emailed tonight to say that they are unable to offer the accommodation that we’d booked due to the French restrictions, and they are offering a credit so that we can rebook up to Nov 2021. I’m presuming there’ll be a refund alternative too, but they’re trying to avoid that at the moment. No skiing for us this year now for certain!
