I'm watching Italy France with about an hour delay (six minutes in as I type) but looking forward to it. It's great to see how Italy have come on in the last couple of years.

They've been coming together well over the past couple of years: great to see.

That was *far* too close for comfort! France in previous years probably would have lost it so it was good to see them come back at the end. A shame for Italy as they played very well in the 2nd half. They did managed] a bonus point though which keeps them off the bottom of the table and hopefully they'll get a win later on.

3 of the top 5 teams in the world are in the same WC group - Ireland, South Africa, Scotland. The other two top 5 teams are in the same half of the draw as that group.
In the other half of the draw the best teams are 6th, 7th and 9th - England, Australia, Wales.

Yeah for Ireland’s current success they need to get through that group and then beat either France or New Zealand in a QF

The WC groups are often unbalanced because they are based on ranking that are quite old by the time the tournament comes round

Five changes in the Welsh pack for the Scotland game.
Let’s see if the unchanged backline get any more ball

Bit disappointed to see they’ve finally dropped that old fossil AWJ. That’s gonna make life a wee bit harder for us. Still backing blue for a good win (for once! )
