Very evenly matched between England and Scotland, I thought, but more (i.e. Any) moments of brilliance from the blue shirts than the white, and a fair result that followed.

Ireland to carry the hopes of the northern hemisphere into the men's world cup in the autumn?

Ireland look good but have a tough path in the knockout stages I think.

I am expecting England to be rubbish this year so don’t mind the loss too much. JVP and Dombrandt went off and England lost their attacking shape. Defence in wide channels was atrocious

Names on shirts was a great idea, that Peter Vardy was all over the pitch for Scotland.

And that Scottish guy Van De Merve had some dodgy accent, a remote highland village perhaps?

Well summed up Rae. To me, England looked strong across the pitch but when brilliant things needed to be done, Scotland did them.

Missed the first match as I was busy Zwifting.

Great game, could have gone either way right to the last ten minutes.

Not an armwrestle in the forwards but a real battle of small margins across the whole park.

What I think is Townsend has had a lot more time to think about beating England and it's Borthwicks first game.

That was the difference today, the difference in the months to come is Borthwick has a load more resource and can learn, Townsend knows all he'll know now.

Nice thoughts Richmac but it depends on what sort of coach Borthwick is.

EJ was always about being a smart arse, being proved right, playing games.

Hopefully SB will coldly analyse issues and slowly, incrementally correct them , even if it’s a tacit admittance that the previous selection was wrong.

Ben Youngs as impact sub, Smith OR Farrel, need a 12 that can fix defenders etc
