Selfish is fine if it works out - then you're a mercurial genius! Selfish without the ability to convert looks less good!

I'd add Italy to Mussile's assessment of teams who've come out happy. Really pleased for them, given all the stick they've had to take about not being worthy of a place in the 6N. I doubt they've even sobered up yet.

Think I agree on Ireland, good side playing pretty well and comfortably 2nd but I don’t see a significant additional upside. They remain over reliant on squeezing another Tourno out of Sexton.

Much as it’s time for EJ to go, I’m not on the Farrel back for England bandwagon. In my ming coaching Ireland is the easiest job out there - some very good players concentrated in a few strong provincial teams so that patterns of play and familiarity are already in situ.

Horrible WC draw too - SA and Scotland in their group then one of France/All blacks waiting in the Qtrs.

Sadly EJ is safe, wonder if Pivac is under threat - he can probably play the injuries card though.

Ireland play SA last in their group. They may not need to win the game so can put out the squad players as you’d expect 4 or 5 injuries to come out of that game. The QF is tough, but if Ireland are ever going to win one they may as well start with a decent team.

Summer could be fun:
Arg vs Sco
Aus vs Eng
NZ vs Ire
SA vs Wales

Unusually all are 3 test series.

Just listened to the Rugby Union Weekly Six Nations debrief. Pretty damning from a Welsh, English or Scottish perspective but couldn’t find anything to disagree with

So I watched France/England live.

In what order should I watch the other two?

I’d watch Wales/Italy and record over the Scotland match.

About This Thread

Maintained by Dai Bank
OK been on walkabout but off we go on 5th Feb with Ireland v Wales.
Hopefully we will all be playing at the correct grounds and with more than a few spectators to cheer, sing, not make too much of an arse of themselves through too much of what makes them lose themselves.

Thread title has been changed so thanks for that whoever updated it.
