Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Ready as I'm going to be for this, which is probably slightly under prepared compared to FLM last year. Only 1 20 miler, nothing longer and 2 at 18 and 1 at 17. But running quite well all other things considered, so still hoping for sub 5.

So long as I am OK between now and then and no lurgies or anything get me I do believe I will be fine and I will indeed Izzard it (which means walking if you need to btw - as he did when I 'ran' with him).

re accomadation - i looked at late rooms and phoned a few - many full or wanted 2 nights - thus my phonecall to the Stratford Tourist Info Centre they found me Barbette Guest House at a massiv 26£ - as they booked it for me i trust them :-)
now what about this fetch pasta fest on Saturday ?

My Hemel Runner _ Do NOT do the 22 miler if you are not feeling up to it. From my experience (11 marathons completed, 2 others trained for but injured :-( - if you have done one 20miler in training - you will finish- , at this stage its nearly time to ease off, certainly if you're not feeling up to it. Run a shorter distance if you can , feel good about it , definately dont beat yourself up.
As for me - if all goes well my last longest LSR is a 20miler tomorrow with a group training for Chester marathon- so i'll be fueling on porrige at 0645ish, then to Chester for soon after 8 to park & run 2 slow warm up miles , then meet other folks at 0850,

happy runing folks, and commiserations of you dont feel 100%
