Well done everyone. I had a hard time but did manage a PB of 3.42. Didnt enjoy the course much, maybe i was just in the wrong mood but couldnt wait for it all to be over. Really really had to fight for it yesterday. Far too hot for me and the water was crap.

Well done GF, the water was Tesco Value, can't beat quality like that ;-)

I'm still trying to understand how I can run so well at the Ashby 20, run over 23 miles in a training run, then blow up in spectacular fashion at 17 miles yesterday. I know they say that 20 miles is the half way point in the marathon, I guess I'll just have to put it down to being one of those days.

The torment continues today, both kids have a stomach bug so I'm taking a day off to keep an eye on them. All things considered, maybe today could be tougher than yesterday :-(

Bloody Hell that was gloriously hard work yesterday. Managed to get round without stopping and a new PB - 3:36:59 - so can't complain.

Fetchie-wse, I saw Mick n Phil going up one of the early hills; introduced myself to Gymfreak on passing ; and saw Jasonion the Greenway. Jason, you asked me wheremy fetch top was when I said Fetchi make some noise (I was the lanky streak in bright orange).

Also saw the Fetchie down on the Greenway - hope he is okay. Has he been identified?
