Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Good to here you are OK MIke, heard on the radio you were struggling whilst being tended to by St Johns after hiting the wall full on at 24. But survived and finshed so lots to learn from.

Sam.
Well done everyone.

Mick 'n' Phil......it was nice to meet you (Sam......stripey socks on RW) albeit breifly.

4:06 for me. Was pleased and gutted all at once. Pleased because I have had a tough 3 years since my last marathon with 2 herniated discs in my neck and lower back so just getting round was my main goal and gutted to be 15 mins off my only other marathon (Abingdon 2006). I got to 20m in 3:00 and was feeling quite pleased but when I tried to pick the pace up my lower back spasmed and I ended up having to shuffle home in 10:30mm.

Managed my first ever half marathon in 1:59. It was bloody hot though, and that hill at 8 miles was a right sh*t

Really struggled today, I was really angry with the way my run went and vowed at the finish never to do another marathon. Shame the Persians didn't get that Greek bloke several thousand years ago!

But have calmed down a bit now and will look for another one in September.

Top part of the day, watching FD and PaulaMc add an extra 100 yards to their runs doing airplane arms, just behind me and my 4 year son as we crossed the finish line. I'd got the gist that FD was a bit off his rocker, but obviously PaulaMc's there too ;-)

We were in front of you, by about 50 yards. The missus got you in the video of me and the lad running in. PaulaMc was a little bit out of formation and needs to work on that for next time ;-)
