Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

sorry to hear that Mick :( was good to see you both.

Managed to drag the lovely PaulaMC round in 4.48 a 9 min PB - she loved every minute of running with the fox ;)

Got to meet Gooner,Jono, James & Wrexham Rob & sample some great flapjack & once again Zoom's legendary Welsh Cakes :)

Shame about that Mike, but there is always another race on another day, good to meet you both today.

Not my best race, the heat really got to me, I felt so bad at the finish but it didn't put me off & I may be back next year to try again.

Well done everyone who raced today :)

Sorry to witness your withdrawing MicknPhil. That was a tough day indeed and if I'd been poorly only a couple of weeks ago I wouldn't have wanted to do that at all!!

PB for me :-) 4:59:25 unofficially :-)

Found the heat tough and the hills on the 2nd lap had got higher and steeper. Well organised, with some good spectator support through the villages but the Greenway on the 2nd lap seemed endless!

The heat after 6 miles was seering on a generally exposed course so to get to mile 17 is great going Mick. I felt sick from half way round and onwards to the end a case of out to quick and a cocktail of caffine gels and lucazade sport going round like a washing machine...............uugh

On the plus side managed a pb of 3.45 today knocking off 16 mins from my previous bestwhich was last year at the Shakespeare :-)

Sorry to hear that Mick - saw you and Phil at the start looking fresh. Hard day for lots of folks I reckon. Like you Tumble, heat put paid to more ambitious plans, you weren't far behind me, though I just squeeked a PB. Million thanks to Steve and Houston (not fetchies) who ran with me from 23 to 26 - we forced each other to keep running when the quads said no.

back home on the wirral, great to see so many Fetchies and it was an honour to line up at the start with the fantastic mr fox, Paula and gooner.

had a quick chat with helen at the end, but she said something about going and getting plastered - lunaman, nice to see you.

Mick - your inspirational mate, its just one bad run - that's all. Well really enjoyed the race, yes it got a bit warm and I suffered from stomach cramps after 22 miles, battled through them until I saw the 25 mile mark - got a speed wobble on for the last bit and was chuffed with me time of 4.29.34 (Garmin).

pains went after two Ibuprofen, one pastie, mars bar and two litres of pop :)

will have to drink a bit more before the Chester mara in may :)
