Yeah, that’s what I’m thinking Shades. Think of it as good training, as DD could well be warm. And I need to get out in warmer conditions at home, as I do tend to shy away from that. I think I may well get back on my Haldon hilly loop when it’s warmer again, for DD training. I think my worst one was MK marathon a few years ago - I just forgot about a finish time goal for that one and just got it done. To be fair, it’s cooler here this weekend than that one was. For tomorrow there’s stations every 5K, and they’re saying water is in bottles, which I prefer, so should be okay.

WP - no, it's local to you. The first of the Phoenix Wales events, at Trelewis. There's a YouTube video of the route and predominantly tarmac. Big G - and if it's sunny at DD the sun has a stronger effect as you're high up. Good luck for tomorrow, I'm sure you'll be fine with the conditions. Might be a cooling breeze if the route is coastal. |

Looks a good path and route a bit too far for me .OH won't drive that far and trains are tricky.I hope they do more events a bit nearer to me.

WP - at the moment they don't have any other events listed for Wales, but I'm sure it's just a matter of time. It's quite likely they might use the venues that Infinity used. I did two of those and they were good courses, particularly one around a lake which I enjoyed. I've heard talk of the use of bicarb. I can barely tolerate the bicarb in zero tabs to make them dissolve so a definite no from me. Let us know how you get on with it. |

I have no intention of trying it🙂 Was it Margam Park? That would be a good route. |

I think I did one at Margam park but that wasn't the one that had the path going around a big lake. Both were good venues. I'll look up the race next time I'm on my computer.

Pleasant 16 miles from Tower Bridge to Hammersmith Bridge today. Plenty of walking bits as social run and a reversing of direction cos Westminster bridge cos some dickhead climbing on the houses of parliment albeit there was no need to close that bit off. Took 3.5 hours roughly for the moving bits, a lot of bridges crossed so a lot of steps so legs were grumping by halfway. Less bridges later on so there were just grumping about the distance by then. |

Keith - very impressive doing a long run while you're in London. I'd just heard on the news about that protester on the roof. |

Well done Keith on such a long run! Hope legs are less grumpy today. Shades: Good luck for race hope the weather is good. Big G Enjoy the heat and race. I am trying to not run same routes and trying to find routes that are less hilly for the achilles.4 miles again today different route which I think has less elevation than yesterday will have to check. |
