Yes I think it's a good target and I can reassess closer to the time if training has gone better/worse than planned.If everything went great then 8 is achievable but I get the same medal for 8 as sub 9 so will decide closer.

Yes, and the weather may be a factor too. Hot and you might take another 30 mins so good to know if that happens you could still make your target time.

8 miles today, slight improvement in the weather, wind has dropped a bit and less cold.

A nice 8 miler Shades.

Weather cold here but 4.5 miles run.Glutes and hamstrings still achy from Tuesday but better than yesterday.

Back in December 2005 I started a thread on Runner's World offering a marathon training plan on 3 runs a week. I had my own running club at the time (Womens Running Network) and I had successfully trialled the training plan when I took a group of girls to Dublin to run their first marathon.

Over the years the thread has evolved into a chat thread, with a bit of training advice, race reports, for predominantly marathon runners.
