Big G - nasty incident with the collie. I don't like collies, find them unpredictable.

With the exception for my collie friend Digger, who I haven't seen for ages as haven't been able to run that far.

Big G That was a lucky escape with the Collie glad everyone is okay.

Funny enough when I run cycle track there is a Collie who is muzzled.I was earlier today and the Collie really was barking at me going nuts.

6.10 miles this morning Achilles still a pain but I left of my compression socks.Run was slow but to be expected until Achilles is back to normal.Happy to have two 6 milers so far this week.
I had to take tape off post run as was irritating me and have a rash both sides

of foot.So will leave it off till tomorrow's run.

WP - well done on another decent distance run.

I remember when I had the box of Lidl's KT tape it said it was hypoallergenic. Yet it's the only tape I had that would sometimes cause me a rash.

You must be using up the tape quite quickly, I'll try and find the stuff I'm using for you. That's never given me a rash.

Perhaps it's dermatological testing showed that it may cause a rash.

It's possible you may be quite sensitive to that type of product.

2 appointments today, first at the hospital with my shoulder,he agreed it's not healing correctly, gave me a steroid injection and to go back in 3 months and see how it is.He thinks I may have developed some arthritis in there, which isn't ideal.
Then GP wants to see what the 24hr blood monitor says as that is more reliable,he said I can run next week but would go all out,so I'll lower my HR and see how I go.

Ian - well that's not so bad about the shoulder. Hope the injection relieves some of the discomfort. Not much you can do about the arthritis.

Re BP, does the GP want you to run all out, or not to go all out?

When will you get the 24 hour monitor?

About This Thread

Maintained by Shades
Back in December 2005 I started a thread on Runner's World offering a marathon training plan on 3 runs a week. I had my own running club at the time (Womens Running Network) and I had successfully trialled the training plan when I took a group of girls to Dublin to run their first marathon.

Over the years the thread has evolved into a chat thread, with a bit of training advice, race reports, for predominantly marathon runners.
