Anybody doing Glasgow Uni 5 miler next Sat? I'm looking forward to being back of pack again, as hunners of teens and 20 year olds stream past me! Hoping for an OK 5 mile time though. Guaranteed PB as I've never done 5 miles before. G

HappyG - I was going so badly through the mud, I was actually passing people on the uphills. And I can't run uphill!! I think I took 3 different lines through the mud, all of them were rubbish!

You should have a Fetch benchmark at 5M HappyG en route in your 10k pb?

I find it useful for 10ks which come up 'digitally short' like the Jimmy Irvine this year (grr).

Glasgow Uni? Hmm. Well, no actually. Done it a couple of times, good wee race. My 5 mile PB in fact. The only race I know of where you may run through a car wash. Had a nagging injury and even took a break - which left me with a 33+ parkrun on Saturday :-(. Not quite race-ready, then. Especially when there is a steep hill to run up twice.
I've wondered about Dawsholm Park (which it runs through) as a potential parkrun venue.

Heading to Dundee for the outdoor film festival this weekend, might take in the "flat" Camperdown Parkrun.

Don't they have an xc there too, is it the Scottish Masters? Sounds familiar.

Yeah the national masters are being hosted there at the end of January.
Not tried camperdown parkrun yet but gather it's pretty tough.
