I'm sure they said 5000 places on the website when Stirling was first announced, no sign of that now but is still listed here marathonrunnersdiary.com (so not a figment of my imagination).

On my run this morning in the Dalmeny estate I think I crossed paths with a former members of this Parish who I havent seen posting for a while. Didnt realise until I was past, but good to know they are still running

Stirling isn't going to be easy, from Blair Drummond through Doune to Dunblane is quite undulating for a start.

Agree Ally-C, far better doing Edinburgh the week after if looking for a fast time ( assuming no gale force easterly wind !! ). Stirling looks more like one to do for the scenery.

I'm assuming the A84 will be closed for 2 or 3 hours, that's gonna cause huge problems as it's the main road from the central belt to the Trossachs, west highlands, etc. Have you heard what the diversion plans are, is it up through Muthill to Crieff ?

No need for anything like that. Just route traffic along the Dumbarton road and up through Thornhill. Further along the road when the field is spread out will be considerably more problematic.

There are 26 regular parkruns in Scotland which are held every Saturday at 9:30am.
