Great place to be based. I did a couple of runs on the first bit of the west highland way but its five miles from the house to the start.

Welcome zp. Good spot for some running, and you can enjoy people trying to pronounce your new home town when you phone English call centres!

Not today, Dvorak - made a last minute decision to go to Arran and run there (good decision, that was!) I shall return to sample the delights of Drumchapel parkrun next week |

You've now already been to Arran more times than I have! Should I visit it? You'll probably be off running up Ben Lomond, or at the very least Conic Hill, next week ;-). |

Definitely visit. Even if you don't like the hilly stuff (I did Goatfell and North Goatfell today), there's the much flatter coastal path and looks like loads more traily stuff in the woods. I can't believe it's just a day trip from Glasgow, I'll be back Ben Lomond is a nice run; I've heard of the legendary Conic Hill but not yet experienced it. One for next year, I think. |

I hope they manage to keep the senior race to 3 laps maximum, 4 x 2.5k will be crazy with the numbers involved now. Especially in the men's race.

Is there something afoot Sjh? I've never run it but usually watch and from what I can recall the top few guys just start lapping the backmarkers towards the end. They'd better not change it just as I finally get around to doing it! It does seem to be growing which is good. More backmarkers I can hide amongst
