There you go, the sunkissed greensward at the end of the 2013 race. Boab looking quite fresh for someone who'd just finished in 34:32. When I ran, Duchess was Keeper of the Kayaks. |

Linlithgow is one of the few 10ks I've seen, where folk have needed medical attention on the course. Callander and Crieff are two that are harder, more experienced runners there perhaps. |

Well, there is that ... two of them quite close together on the roadside on the big downhill? The 10K however which I experienced the most casualties at was the Dumbarton 10K. 12 DNF. Fairly harmless course you'd think. One of the Eriteans had tripped and took a sair yin at that awkward bit behind the Travelodge and the rest I think were felled by the heat on a surprisingly warm evening, saw some in the back of ambulances and others who just couldn't go on. |

Hill towards the end, combination of heat and hills, I reckon.

I think we posted this earlier but on January 7th, we're having a wee Fetch social in Edinburgh: http://www.fetcheveryone.com/viewtopic.php?id=59397 It's the day of the Great Winter Run and National XC at Holyrood, so if you're in town and would like to pop in for an hour or two, you'd be more than welcome. |
