I suspect the hardest part for me will be running past The Allan Water Cafe and Corrieries without stopping for food!

EMF is a terrible race so to be frank I am glad there is a timely alternative that doesn't clash with VMLM, GMM or other big Spring marathons.

More or less the same price as Edinburgh. Looks interesting, profile needs to be put up though! As for Musselburgh being "out there", well, it's effectively joined on to Edinburgh, there is no break in housing or buildings and is actually closer to the city centre than say Colinton, Currie, Balerno or Juniper Green with better transport links. 2 train stations and a plethora of buses, I have no idea why GSI never get the after race transport sorted. It really is easy to get back and forth to Edinburgh. I agree the route gets a little dull as there is a lack of support and the organisation is piss poor, but it has a great finish. I am biased though, I live there

If the race has been set up to clash with EMF, then the market will decide. But did the Stirling race say how runners manage the one way nature of the route? Is it like Loch Ness with runners bussed out to the start, or like Edinburgh with transport back to the city centre ?

Can't see any info regarding one way direction of route. If it's like the GNR then you are bussed to start from hotel you have to book through their travel partners and then bussed back to hotel. Hopefully there will be options to fit in with what suits. Blair Drummond park will have plenty parking, think I would prefer to drive to start and then get bussed back from finish, or even better get someone else do the driving.

I've never been to BDSP, ie expect it has a big car park, but I'm not sure that the owners would want it full of runners cars, maybe on a day when lots of paying guests might want to use it.

I'm thinking MrsC will drop me off on the way past and then catch up with me a few hours later at the castle, where she will have spent an interesting and informative time with the bairns.

There are plenty of Park-and-Ride venues close to the finish area that could be used to get folks to or from Blair Drummond. I'll suspect however that runners will get bussed to the start line (similar, but shorter, to the Loch Ness approach) so that all the visitors can inject their cash into the local economy via the eating and drinking establishments in Stirling once they cross the finish line.

Think busses to the start is most likely. The Blair Drummond car parks are after the pay gates (as you normally do the safari bit first) so don't think it would work for the race.
