Lots of Stirling Tri Club have already signed up too with comments like 'it's going past the end of my street'. Not for me though tempted, but a proper marathon training/race in May would wipe out my race season

Surely a marathon is just a wee training run for IronJules? :-)

I think there'd be a difference between training properly & executing a road marathon at a target time versus the plodding we do at the end of an Ironman. I always have massive respect for anyone who can execute a marathon race plan without falling apart

But I'll definitely be on the course shouting at folk during the race if I'm in the country!

Tomorrow's 3konthegreen race has been duplicated... looks like you can choose the road version or the mixed terrain version (that's probably the one with all those nasty tree roots ;-) )

Stirling marathon sounds good. I live closer to Stirling now than Edinburgh, but am from Porty/Mussy originally so will have divided loyalties. Still not done Edinb mara....think I'd prefer Stirling...best get Strathearn out of the way 1st eh :)

Strong rumours of an Alloa Parkrun. on paths and trails around Gartmorn Dam. I will post more news as things firm up

That'd be good. Slightly handier for Stirling than the Falkirk course and (I'd assume) without the joys of a Heartbreak Hill!

That's exciting news :-). Wish someone would co.e up with another flat one locally though. Maybe Cumbernauld will. ( From the times, Drumchapel may be a beast of a course.)
