I think you may have spotted the cunning plan, Fergus. Whilst there is a P&R near to the finish, assuming that biggish numbers are expected, the main parking might be at Forthside/Springkerse (Stirling 10K start/finish area. Therefore finishers and supporters will need to cross the city to get back to their cars (or to the railway/bus stations).

Son of a Pronator Man
I think the idea of the streets of Stirling being full of tired but happy marathon runners having a(responsible) drink in the sun after their exertions sounds like a great idea and something I'd like to be a part of

You've made me think of something, AC: with a bit of marketing this could be just the event to attract foreign runners, most particularly those of the colonial diaspora. I'm almost being tempted. Well, tempted to go and support anyway pint ;-).

it's certainly gripped the imagination of jogscotties in aberdeen too....

I'm trying to remind them that marathons are hard, and early in the year marathons mean a lot of winter training....

A lot of excitement amoung the WCH as well. Just like EMF was at the beginning before we all fell out of love with it with no water, poor transport and foxes eating the cables on the big screen TV

There are 26 regular parkruns in Scotland which are held every Saturday at 9:30am.
