My take is that there's no issue with multiple threads, but that there should be a tug of war every Boxing Day to establish supremacy.

LS - I've been lifting weights a lot recently so will be ready Riggsy - I don't mind a multi lap race, I've run quite a few marathons and HMs round Goodwood motor cct/airfield, the wind can be brutal though. Hilly (and flipping windy) 16m today, after 5 and 10 yday gives me an 80m week, biggest week since March. Not sure ill have done many 80m weeks that didn't have a 20m in there. |

Not sub-3:15 attempts but I’ve done two marathons on a 400m track. The first one I found mentally very tough! 10K (25 laps) in it hit me that I still had 80 laps to go. Oooph.

Tr is getting hench these days! Solid weeks mileage there. Good bargain hunting, wardi. Big g, that must have been mentally brutal. Oo54 has done a few of those as well. Popped along to parkrun today for first attempt at any effort this week. Started off reserved in a congested start and was in about 30th after 500m, though that just gave me more to pick off. 6.24 mile 1 then 6.07 then 5.52 coming in at 19.02 which was adequate. Wore my new £45 AF1 which are defining going into the rotation as B race shoe. Best buy I've had. First run uploaded here so will see what new stats are available to me. 15 tomorrow to give me another 50m week which is fine for now. I've managed to add a pic to my gallery, still can't seem to add an avatar. |

An influx of new forum users is a very handy usability study. A few things for me to tidy up when I am back at the keys on Monday.

Top bargain hunting then DT, £45 for a B race shoe I've been lifting heavier since I twisted my knee in Sept, as i had that to recover from plus some general old age knee groans....Ive inflated back up to 12 stone, I was getting down towards 11 with less weights, swim and bike........wether it helps me over HM and mara remains to be seen. |

DT19.. Nice progressive Parkrun there, I guess a few runners were a bit surprised as you breezed past. Enjoy the 15m tomorrow. TR.. a beefcake on a marathon thread is a rare thing! That 16m sounds like a tough outing, nicely done. Unlucky with the wind, very calm up here. One of my local Parkruns (Heslington, York Uni) is 5 laps of a 1k tarmac cycle track. Very flat and fast if you can put up with the loops. 12.1m this morning, quite pleasant at that time. Got back an hour before the afternoon showers. Feels like October this evening! |
