Aquarius - I think the the 'sleep' function works on more modern Garmin's, just not on old' uns like my Forerunner 230. Built-in obsolescence maybe (or am I being too cynical?). There is a leader board for Fetchpoint - but if I mention I'm on 161 - and the leader (probably been playing for years?) is on 21,581, you'll understand why I'm not thinking I'll get anywhere other than propping up the bottom of the table. I'm afraid I can't advise re your Garmin and treadmill issues. I think you'll find strava gets crossed through because unlike Fetch, they are a money-grabbing big business, looking to monetize us runners and anything useful is hidden away behind a paywall.
I stretched yesterday and made an executive decision to forego an early very cold walk this morning for a slightly less cold one after lunch. There are four more bugs for me to squish so I have my route worked out.
Margaret had a better night's sleep so is feeling a bit more human today ..

Aquarius, the sleep and training status, are still 'live' but my garmin 645 music is 4 years old, so Mel may be correct that they may only work on newer Garmins. On the other hand, I only 'lost' the function when I got my new phone in November. Sarah H has the same problem since changing her phone.
I see that you still have snow, and that the 5k was cancelled. Well done for doing the 5k on the treadmill.
WtnMel, please see my comments re loss of sleep and training status in my post above to Aquarius.
A good decision leaving your walk to the afternoon after lunch when it was slightly less cold.
Good to hear that Margaret is feeling a bit more human today after a better night's sleep.
I ran 4.18 miles this morning on roads with the Wednesday Group. This comprised 7 hilly reps of 0.33 miles, run out and back.

Sorry to hear you are struggling with the snow Aquarius and issues with your garmin. I tend to turn my watch off overnight so don't get any sleep data. I had a long run in Manchester on Tuesday. No snow but a but lots of sludge and very cold rain. I'm now in Keswick where it is still frozen, but the snow is only on the hills.
Nice run hillstrider and hope the procedure goes well. It's just routine I hope? A good decision on the late walk Wtnmel. We are planning a long one today, maybe around Derwentwater.

0061, well done for your long run on Tuesday in Manchester.
Thanks, I hope that it is just routine. I don't have to have it, but I thought that it was worth having, just in case they did find something.
I ran a very cautious 5k on roads yesterday, as it was very slippery under foot.
I did the usual Friday Farmers Walk this morning, and will be meeting up with a couple of running friends for lunch.

Hillstrider - I still have some spikes we bought for our Norway holiday that fit over trainers & walking boots. Hardly ever need them - but when I do, they are excellent on slippery ground. Not surprised you had to take it easy on your 5k to avoid falling over. Hope that routine procedure on 27th goes well. Hope you had an enjoyable lunch with your friends. I won again on the Premium Bonds so told Margaret there's another meal out for us in the offing
Margaret and I went for a walk around Croome yesterday and it was a lovely bright day - and no paths closed this time (high winds on the last visit - and closures in case any trees came down). But with all the rain, I did use an alternate route to the usual one. Just as well, as driving up the M5, we could see the extent of the flooding.
No walking for me today - but I did manage to squish all the bugs on Wednesday's walk. I wanted to start pruning our very overgrown fruit trees as the garden waste collections start again tomorrow, so we wanted to get our money's worth and fill the bin. So that was my exercise instead of a walk. I wrapped up well and only stopped when the sun set and my feet began to get cold, despite the thick walking socks. I'm now sitting indoors drinking tea and my feet have finally thawed out.

That's a very early start for green bin collection wtnmel (garden waste). I think ours is March...

HS Good luck with the endoscopy on 27th. I hope you had a nice lunch with your running friends yesterday. I see you had a slippery run on Thursday, was that due to frosty conditions or has the snow arrived with you now? We've still got snow here, it hasn't thawed all week, so very icy conditions still. A lot of our parkruns in the north east have been cancelled again this week, including the ones we would normally do. However as we've no intentions of trying to drive at the moment we couldn't have got to them even if they had been on.
WtnMel As 0061 says, that is an early start for your garden bin collection, ours also doesn't start until March. Pruning fruit trees will be good cross training.
Well done for all this bug squishing. Lucky you chose an alternative route for your visit to Croome and so avoided any flooded roads. We've had a present from ERNIE too Enjoy your meal.
0061 Are you still in Keswick? I imagine it must be equally as cold there as on this side of the Pennines. Did the weather cause you any problems getting over there?
I was supposed to be taking part in some XC relays tomorrow, but had to pull out yesterday when I realised that the conditions here are not likely to improve until Monday at the earliest. It's frustrating because I've heard that some roads slightly lower down than us are clear. I think I'm stuck with treadmill running until at least Monday or Tuesday.

Aquarius, all the parkruns close to us in Keswick were cancelled, including talkin tarn which we were going to visit on the way home. Generally though Keswick was beautiful. Snow on all the hills but none at ground level, so plenty of lovely walks. Not many tourists made it over so very quiet and peaceful too. January to March if the weather is ok, is the best time to visit. We came home yesterday and travelled to Riverside parkrun in Chester le Street. Sorry you missed XC. I know they are struggling to get teams out.

0061 Sounds as though you had a lovely time at Keswick. I’ve done Riverside before, a nice flat course, but usually one of the busiest. I feel really guilty about pulling out of XC just a few days before the event, but I would never have got there. Luckily another vet lady stepped up. I don’t know why it’s such a struggle getting people to run for the club at XC, I’m sure it wasn’t always like that.
It’s still freezing here, our youngest son ran 10k at 7am this morning, just a few miles from here. It was -6.5 degrees and his hair froze to his head torch!
