All good here thanks. I did a half marathon just over a week ago and have had a pain in my leg since but I think it's ok now so I'll be testing it out tomorrow night - or should I say tonight? Lol!

12 months on. I've had 3 ops, hormone therapy & ran all through. Post treatment, 11 marathons done. Slower, a stone heavier but privaliged to be here & enjoying life

Well done Turkey Legs!
Three years on for me. Still getting stomach problems post radiotherapy but I think it's getting better. I'm gradually getting faster although I still struggle at times. Plus there's the weight issue lol!

Just found this thread.
Got diagnosed with prostate cancer in July and I have a prostatectomy scheduled for 30 October. Apart from Covid vaccinations and recovering from the biopsy, I have run regularly throughout the year. Yes, it has been a struggle at times but managed to complete the recent Brighton Marathon. I am also looking at the Chelmsford Marathon in two weeks' time which will be my last run for more than a month.
Must start doing my pelvic floor exercises in the hope that it aids my recovery time. I'd like to restart light running by Christmas as I am already booked in for the next Brighton Marathon in April - just to get around instead the course!

SP indeed do those exercises. Good luck with your op.
Diagnosed with prostate cancer Oct 2019, went down the radiotherapy route, some complications and late effects from that May and June. Drug treatments and radio therapy have trashed my fitness, began to pick up earlier this year but the set backs put paid to that.
Best advice is listen to your body, make sure you're recovered but try to get back out there too.
All getting better right now, next tests January.

Thanks OS. The consultant touched on radiotherapy but he was keen for me to have the surgery based on my age and level of fitness.

Very best wishes Phil. I had two ops early 2019 (primary in rectum and several small mets in liver), followed by six months of chemo. I’m approaching two years all-clear and have done a marathon and ran a Parkrun PB in September. Please let keep us posted with how you get on
