I did. It was too cold to change into running kit so I ran the mile, and the 400m, in jeans.

Fragile Do Not Bend
There's a guy i saw regularly at my old home parkrun that was always running in the same part of cut off jeans. I reckon he was in his 60s and had the look of someone who has been running most of his life. The jeans clearly suited him.

As someone who runs in shorts all year round, I can't think of anything worse. I suppose if the individual thinks it's fine then so be it. For me, even compression tights or jogging bottoms would be too much.

We have a guy at parkrun who runs in cargo shorts and yacht shoes. OH once advised him to get proper gear and he said he didn't want to spend the money. He runs every week!

I'm with Vixx and cackleberry, I've run in skinny jeans before to save the streak.... sounds like she was running either from or to something?
Love the story of the yacht shoes, if it works for him lol!

One of our local runners started off in jeans, and ran for at least a couple of months like that. She has some more conventional kit now; is doing phenomenally well with her running, and is a very lovely lady. I think some people just don't see why they can't run in whatever they like; and it's hard to dispute that really

Hellsbells, I remember Lyra running round Cambridge parkrun with you wearing jeans (but with proper running trainers!)

I regularly pass a runner when I'm going to work - he's in jeans or chinos, a cotton shirt and shoes that look more like fashion trainers than "proper" running shoes. Probably 3-4 days a week for the last year or so. Maybe he has nowhere to get changed at work, and doesn't sweat a lot. I'd be a minging mess if I ran to work and didn't shower.

I sweat profusely so wouldn't do more than 1 mile in jeans. The friction might also cause potential burns.....

I regularly run to the train station on my way to/from work, so regularly run (well run/walk about 10 min a day) in jeans and with a rucksack that weighs at least 5kg (quite often more like 7kg). I figure it helps keep my bones strong.
