He can't have an excuse for his actions. I hope he is tracked down soon and charged.

It looked to me as if he made a deliberate move towards the woman which to me appears to have pushed, there was plenty of room for him to run on his left so why he moved into her path is very odd, hope the poor woman wasn't hurt.

The telling things for me are that he doesn't maintain his direction parallel to the bridge side or even move towards it as any normal runner would have done and he doesn't make any attempt to turn around once he hit her. Something not right in the head.

He gives her a proper push and there was plenty of room for both of them, he alomst moves towards her. Whatever his motivation was that was incredibly dangerous, she was nearly under that bus. I hope they catch him and prosecute him.

The telling thing for me is that he doesn't stop. Even at my slow amble I've had an occasion where I've almost collided and ended up hugging a woman who stopped dead in front of me rather than moving (it was a hug or a collision with both of us falling next to a busy road I wasn't trying to restrain her) and of course I stopped, apologised (as did she) checked she was ok etc.

Just watched it. Quite mind boggling! Plenty of space on the bridge and he appeared to move towards her rather than her getting in his way (not that that would justify his actions!)
Anyone who's run in central London has had pedestrians get in the way or stop suddenly in front or change direction without looking but you accept that as a possibility before you head out and adjust accordingly.
Hope someone recognizes him so he can explain what the hell he was thinking...

Having looked at it again, it does look like the lady stuck a leg out to trip the jogger up, which may explain his actions. Why on earth would either of them act this way rather than just avoiding each other, though? Crazy.

I looked at it again but I don't think her leg comes out until she's been pushed. It more probably a consequence of being pushed and off balance.

BBC is dredging up pundits who argue joggers on pavement should be banned & similar (not just for this one incident). The one pundit was full of stories about encountering hostile joggers, including people who kicked her dog (she implied on purpose with no provocation other than she didn't get out of their way fast enough).
I run a lot & I only encounter aggressive people at actual race events. Where does one live to meet so many jerks (so I can avoid it... is it a London thing?)
There was a long thread on Mumsnet about daring to stop a jogger to ask for directions. Very heated & polarised!!
I agree the pushing jogger in the vid is either an idiot or a criminal, first and foremost. Glad the pushed woman is ok.
