Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Unbelievable footage from Putney Bridge this morning: bbc.co.uk

Absolutely awful, and completely intentional. The last thing we need is for one or two arseholes to start giving runners a bad name (am I right, cyclists?)

So. Is it anyone we know? I can't imagine it's a Fetchie...

Bizarre. It doesn't even look like she was in his way - not that that is an excuse for pushing someone over of course.

Properly psychopathic behaviour - he swerves toward her, she's not blocking him.

Was it a push or did she just stumble as she moved on to the island or whatever the raised bit on side was?

Definitely looks like a push - what on earth was he thinking?

There isn't a raised bit, that is an effect caused by the shadow of the side of the bridge. The odd thing is that this happened in May yet the story has broken now, the chances of catching him would appear to be lessened due to the time that has passed.

Oh I see. Yes, she's less like to have tripped over a shadow.

I'm always trying to find reasons why it might have been an unhappy accident - when I run, sometimes I totally zone out (not music - I don't wear headphones). Today a bike had to shout at me on a canal tow path to alert me that he was coming. I was dreaming about last night's 1500m and racing on a track. Walter Mitty esque.

Could it have been that, completely oblivious? :-) G
