Oh, and I'm not gonna post up any more info on the number. It's not in my interests to do so, it only gives info to other competitors.

I’ve been thinking about this on my run. I was wondering about doing away with the effort of collaborating - and instead having the nearest above and below guess. So it very quickly shows people that guessing ‘3’ isn’t going to help.

But it’s also early days, and has already been pointed out, people are still working it all out.

I'm sorely tempted just to create a fake GPX file to import and grab the numbers, but that would be cheating, wouldn't it ;-) ?

That said, even if I had all the numbers I don’t think it would help me 😂

I think let this version run and see what happens. I like the idea of collaboration.

So far I have got three numbers and wasted them. Yesterday's were too far and not enough time. Today not enough time and the weather is horrid. Let's see what tomorrow's map brings!

Well, I can tell you that the answer is more than one digit.
I remember what that digit was but I cannot remember to which number on the map it corresponded so I'm basically back to square one.

Your digit was an 8, and you got it by running past the 8.

I have narrowed the answer down to one of 52,306 possible answers!

I can also confirm that CumbriAndy was not dishonest when he said it was higher than 8,750.

In the spirit of co-operation I will tell you that the number is lower than 991,250.

About This Thread

Maintained by fetcheveryone
Sign up, and you'll see your local map, with ten black markers - each one containing a digit. Collect these on your runs, rides, walks (and swims if you're lucky). It's GPS only, sorry. When you have enough digits, try and guess the secret number, which is anywhere between 1 and 1,000,000. If your guess is wrong, Rundle will tell you whether you are too high or too low.

All Fetchies are chasing the same number. You can choose to share your intel from your guesses - or (moral dilemma) you can try to throw everyone else off the scent.

If you're the person who guesses the right number, you get a snazzy new badge. The secret number will then reset, and the game begins again.
