It’s a weird ‘injury’ mostly the swelling has gone down. A soft tissue woman I saw at a race 2 weeks ago said these things take time and it needs massaging to encourage circulation and for the swelling to disperse!

That's good news jelly. I was thinking that you were in pain with it.

I didn't know there were " soft tissue women"!!

As feeling a bit over-trained. Did some 'jeffing' today and really enjoyed it. Went for 3:2 for 70 mins for 6.5 miles.

7 miles this morning. First 5 miles were my Garmin 10K training plan :
2.5 miles easy (30:30)
1.5 miles steady (60:30)
1 mile harder (used this as a fartlek session so random ratios with 30sec recovery)

Then an easy 2 mile recovery at 20:25
I’d had enough by then so I walked the last mile and a half.

Nice to have some sunshine today after the torrential rain yesterday.

Great session there Fenners.
And a great one too lin50. I thought your ratios were fine except the last two mile recovery at 20:25 seemed rather tough! Not surprised that you resorted to ending with a walk.
Just over 5 miles in the sunshine was nice this morning , still only managing 20-25 second running . Still waiting for something to happen re the medication!

Morning all. I've been a bit quieter this week as doing more running than run/walking lately. Managed a half marathon locally yesterday and was very pleased with how I did, and I owe a lot of that to run/walking aiding my recovery from injury and getting those long runs in without overdoing things. I'll be back run/walking tomorrow for my recovery run, and also for the medium long run I'll aim to do mid-week.

Well done everyone, on your recent progress in the very variable weather conditions!

Well done on that season s best FChicken. Good to see positive outcomes from your run/ walking regime.
4.3 miles along trails and managed to extend a few runs to the amazing time of 30 seconds! No progress yet. It's been a very long haul!

Pam runs
steve45 30sec may not seem far but it is a big improvement from the 20sec you were doing.

Thanks Steve. Run/walk worked nicely for this morning's recovery run. And well done for extending the running duration yourself, which definitely counts as progress!
