If course I was referring to Gobi's Mum in my earlier post.
Seems a good theory Pam runs. If you can easily go over distance then it's psychological helpful too. Good luck with it .
3.5 miles (nothing changed really) but I just can't do much different yet and still no improvement on how many seconds running I can cope with. The medication has slowed my resting HR but I need my HR to level out/ stabilise when I exercise.

Funky Chicken
Yesterday’s run was a combination of medium-long run and progression run, calling for 65 mins easy pace, 15 mins faster pace, then 15 mins easy warm-down. I run/walked the first 65 mins, which I think helped me avoid overcooking myself in the heat. I wasn’t sure how it would be, flicking the switch to the faster pace 65 mins into the run, but it felt pretty good and I can see where the physiological and psychological benefits come from this sort of training, whether it’s over a medium-long or shorter distance.

That was a good session F. Chicken and practicing running/walking at a faster pace brings results!
Well done on your club run lin50.

Just 2.4 miles this morning and on one occasion I was able to run continuously for a minute!

Well done steve45. I guess that's the trade-off at the moment: shorter distance overall, but running continuously for longer, which sounds promising!

@steve45 a full minute is a massive increase for you. Nice one. Do you go back for treadmill tests after a few months to see if tablets are helping or is it just down to if you feel they are?

Thanks Pam runs. I have a face to face with the consultant COVID specialist at the end of July. My own observations will be important combined with her tests there and then. Depending on what's identified I guess she'll decide whether to have another exercise stress test done. My observations are not merely "perceived" but those from my chest belt HRM and pace...and how long I can sustain running for . This last couple of days has seen a change HR at test as well as recovery so something's happening!
Did 5 miles with my wife this morning managing well compared with recent weeks.

parkrun yesterday was supposed to be 1.5miles easy, then run hard for the rest. However, ended up running with a friend who needed a chat, so it was an easy pace with random walk breaks.

This morning’s 10K race :
Garmin 10K training plan for first 4 miles all done at 60:30 :
2.5 miles easy (ran a bit harder than easy pace)
1 mile steady
0.5 miles hard
Then changed to 30:30 for the rest of the run.

Official time 1:07:45 so fairly happy with that (target was sub 1:10).
