Just back from doing a run from c25k week 2. Loved going round the local nature reserve with headtorches. It seems a sensible way to build up my run times and see what my body likes...

Pam runs
25min run today. Still feels hard going. Calfs still really tight. Anyone know any stretches besides heel drop on step that work?

Jaks
Pam runs I do the child pose and go into the downward dog, concentrating on lifting my hips and aiming to put my heels on the floor. Hold both positions for as long as you want then repeat a few times. I do this after every run, I feel it really helps.

Massage, roller and a day off running Pam! You know what works already. Like Jaks I do calf stretches after every run, similar one to your heel drop on step.

Four miles without gym boss today but utilising HRM and still end up with similar pace from week to week. I'm pleased at least to be maintaining where I'm at.
Good to see you've recovered well EPixie and 30/30 a comfortable ratio

I'm running with my wife (unusually!) tomorrow and wonder how it'll improve my efforts, we'll be on trails with head torches.

Pam runs
Well I thought yoga with Adrienne might help, she didn't have a specific calf one but had hamstring one. They are connected so did that. Now found out hamstrings are really tight too. 🤔
