Pam runs
Parkrun again. 26.24min. Legs felt a lot better than last week. I almost enjoyed it this time.

I did parkrun as my Doctor K cup run. Ran for 15 minutes then jeffed the rest. Mile splits all fairly consistent again. Garmin time 33.29. Happy I can still run continuously, but I think I prefer run/walk now.

Great time Pam. All run?
And yours lin50...superb that you can run continuously now, yeah, run/walk has its advantages and can keep your fitness level maintained with less ugh on the body! I wonder whether I will continue with run/walk even when I'm back able to run...I do enjoy being able to look around more, especially on the river trails.

Am new to run walk and always poo pooed it! Having not run for a long time due to health, joints and a big case if CBA am finally giving the C25K a go. Just finished week 3 and I can really see the benefits of it 🤭

Hello! I'm trying to get back to running after 3 years focussing on cycling. I'm still aerobically fit but trying to break my legs in gently. I'm up to week 3 of C25K now and it's definitely helping. I'm not doing it to the letter (I am doing each week's run twice rather than three times before moving to the next week, and sometimes I add an extra run onto the end of I've still got a while to get home) but the walk breaks are definitely helping me ease back into it.

I’m helping out with the new group we have at club so doing Mon & Wed right from the beginning. Maybe that’s what helped me run last night and then my fastest 4 miles today in a while.
I will continue with the club as it’s getting me back out the door and running with people rather than being a lonely runner at 5.30am

Bit of a shock run today. I'd set alerts to 1:1, thinking I'd run the first mile then Jeff the rest of parkrun. I only went and ran it all; my 2nd fastest time of the year. I can't believe it.
I'll be back jeffing my other runs this week in preparation for the GSR next Sunday.

Hi folks not been on this thread before.

I decided back in February that my knee arthritis was making running not enjoyable anymore so I packed up.

Fast forward to July & having moved house to within walking distance to a parkrun I would give it another go but walk/running this time

I am back to just under 40 minutes consistently which I am pleased with & I do feel better for doing it.
