I'm doing lots of R/W as my build up to Chester
Today was a commute to work and I'm still getting the legs used to more running and less Tri training.

Looking at the breakdown I did more walking today than on Tuesday but the pace over all was quicker so must have been running faster
also keeps the HR down which is a plus

I really need to do an interval session at least once a week.
Going to mix up my plan as of next week

Good efforts there Pam and what an average mile pace! Phew!
I have no intention of doing intervals these days, those formalised sessions are off my agenda now😂 It's sometimes tough enough doing a minute run/30 sec walk in my current state of running fitness!!
Hope the plan works out well Lip Gloss. ( I tend to swap the word "need" to "want" when it comes to runs🏃🙂)
30/30 again over 5k this morning.

Interesting overall pacing there EvilPixie and looks as though things are going well in prep for Chester.

It's strange how my run home is always better than to work ... it's not massively down hill and my rucksack isn't much lighter.
But I always walk less and feel more like a runner going home. Maybe my legs just aren't awake in the morning and a day of walking about etc helps!

I feel like that I don't run properly until I've been up for around ninety minutes*, Pix, so there may be something in that. For me, even slight downhill vs slight uphill would make quite a difference (which may be, ahem, weight-related).

*There have been quite a few parkruns where I've felt I might set a better time if I went round again.

yes I can understand the weight related thing!
I guess uphill is defo harder when carrying err extra

In the morning I am normally out the door within 30mins and the first 1.4 ish of a mile is up hill (bar a few yards!) and I always struggle to consistently run that bit and end up doing lamppost to lamppost and walk a lot lot more
but then on the way home that same stretch is almost always nearly non stop! Yesterday I finished with about 12 mins of non stop running
