It's a super photo. I like today's too - the blue sky sets it off perfectly.

My Pen Y Fan trip was Sept 2022. Light, shadows and cloud were near perfect. On my original photo (iPhone 13) you can make out sheep on the steep slopes. Remarkable, if not maybe daft, beasts.

Liking today's. Dating from some time ago? I've been up there, sheltering in the stones on the right (it's a near circle) on a day when we couldn't even see the cairn from where we were. Fetch is going a bit back - one of mine from a trip six or seven years ago was featured last week. |

Thanks GimmeMincepies and Dvorak! And you're right about that Ben Cleuch one being a bit older - sometime during that brain-porridge era of Covid/lockdown. I remember there being ice crunching underfoot...

Pearl Wedding Anniversary pic today. From 4 years ago. We had a great 2 day / 3 night stay in Bryce Canyon, somewhat surprisingly snowed in and still in Winter closure. Only 2 others (I think) in the hotel, and no hotel service. We needed to pick up soup & pizza each day from the park tourist center before it closed at 4pm and reheat later. But a fantastic few days. Full pics, if interested photos.app.goo.gl All part of a Grand Circle tour of parks from LV. Can you spot the only winter gear we had was our running stuff, and last minute yak-traks. |

V run-of-the-mill ‘identifier’ pic from one of mine back in July 2018 today. Unremarkable but for the fact it was in the build up to my mara pb later that year, so happy memories.

We base ourselves in that area when we visit my m-in-law in her care home in Caerleon. I enjoy the rolling hills between the Coldra and Caerwent.
