I'm catching up on stuff on iplayer and the missus has vetoed my choice and gone for group rhythmic gymnastics. It is absolutely bonkers. But back on topic, it puts things in context when Christian benteke plus John stones's transfer fees are more than the cost of the entire gb cycling teams team budget for 4 years let alone the footballers' wages |

Galen Rupp has really sticky out ears! You can tell all the GB Team by their flashing shoes. |

I love the shoes The only clip I saw seemed to have people dressed as broccoli dancing about. Did broccoli come from Brazil originally? I agree wholeheartedly about Chris Hoy as commentator. Relaxed, *very* knowledgeable but explained things very clearly. Leon Taylor in the diving made me laugh but he really knew his stuff too. Big 'why do they employ him' question mark though over Matt Baker at the gymnastics. I know he was a good level gymnast in his youth but I learned very little about the technicalities from his commentary. |

Spooky timing LD, the broccoli has just arrived! I agree with you about the commentators, Hoy was a revelation and the diving bloke was v good once you got used to his style. Matt Baker was like an over enthusiastic puppy, v tiring for more than a few minutes. The Japanese segment was bonkers and futuristic but I really loved it. I think Tokyo is going to be fab |

In the US right now. Lochte is getting slaughtered in the media despite the classic tearful TV apology. He's a national joke.

I believe he is losing sponsorship deals too, although not so important at the end of his career.
