EP - Will you use this to weigh the veggies?

WL - ask your neighbours for their empty bread bags? Or use the packaging from foods you had to get (for me that is rice) or wax paper? Otherwise here are some other tips from treehugger: treehugger.com

Actually only weighs 2-3G so minimal difference but if I’m in a shop where you weigh I’ll weigh without the bag!
I’ll then stick the label on my label

This seems quite in tune with this thread.

A petition trying to stop big fast food, pubs and bars from giving out single use plastic.

Yeah:

Next time you buy tea, buy pyramids :)

This is also great news because many cafes etc use these bought in bulk from cash and carrys so by changing for us lot there is much less plastic in the system overall.

Big fan of loose veg here.

Like Wean I've sworn off disposable razors for an old school safety razor, the shave is just as good as all this multiblade lube strip nonsense.

Also have started to use a bamboo tooth brush which works just fine :-)

Watching with interest.
I was going to ask about what to put the loose veg in instead of poly bags. I was wondering where to get paper bags from...

Our take away uses foil containers so I wash and recycle those. Any suitable plastic tubs get reused til they split.
Hardly ever buy bottled drink or sandwiches or that sort of thing. Never get take away coffee, what is the point of that?!

I love takeaway coffee. It is almost impossible to get the same level of foam at home (unless you have a REALLY expensive coffee machine). I will happily pay for the skill of having the perfect coffee, but now I bring my own cup :)

Been to the greengrocers twice this week. I am not convinced about their paper bags though, I suspect they have plastic on them as they feel shiny...I try to use them as little as possible just in case, but worried about exchanging one sort of plastic with another.
