I’d got two quid and bought a (soft) drink. It was boiling hot. The landlady said have what you need when I explained the situation. Very impressive, proper, kind and old fashioned hospitality

Before the driver got out of the vehicle, I opened up the gate for her, let her pass through and then closed it again as per the notice on the gate.
