Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

That made me laugh Decorum. I once tried to open a door for a frail and elderly lady. It was quite a stiff and heavy door so she opened it for me instead :-)

I lost the fiver I put in my shorts pocket yesterday for our walk but only realised as I was approaching the Kings Arms in Haworth. I’d got two quid and bought a (soft) drink. It was boiling hot. The landlady said have what you need when I explained the situation. Very impressive, proper, kind and old fashioned hospitality

This one coincides with a pre-meditated act of kindness (dropping off this month's food bank donations at the parish hall). A van was leaving the park and heading in the direction of town but there was a closed gate in its direction. Before the driver got out of the vehicle, I opened up the gate for her, let her pass through and then closed it again as per the notice on the gate.

Was sitting in a cafe when an old man dropped his fork on the floor - I went over and fetched a clean one and picked the dirty one up as I think his fish and chips might have been cold by the time he managed. :-)

I did some litter picking on my run yesterday. Not a ROAK as such, but it looked a lot nicer in that area of the woods when I'd finished.

Is a Random Act of Kindness still a random act if you have actually planned something kind but don't actually know who it will be going to?
