Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Our paths often crossed - in life and in running - but never met him in person. Despite that, I felt he was a friend and would always have a word of encouragement. Will be missed

This is so true for many of us R4R Lovely tribute

I met Switts a couple of times at races. He was as lovely in real life as he was on the threads. One of the most positive and encouraging people you could meet.

I can’t believe this. So sad. I thought I’d meet him at a race or meet-up one day. I often posted on the listening thread and thought ā€œI bet Switts’ll like this one.ā€ His warmth and enthusiasm for life really shone out in his posts on here. I’ll really miss him.

I was genuinely shocked to read Fetch’s blog earlier. Swittle was a true gentleman, always friendly and so supportive. He’ll be greatly missed.

About This Thread

Never met him in person but always came across as a lovely man.

If you read about his nightly beach runs you could almost have been running along beside him.

He always encouraged others especially on the How was your run thread.

Hope all your beach run are still as perfect as they were while you were here xx
