Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Fingers crossed FF, the first mile is pretty much flat or downhill so I don't want to hold back, but I still need to have something for the last 2.1.

Had to joker both my long walk and hill rep walk last week.
I have now entered the last week of the project, so on Saturday, I will run/walk the same 5k rout where I set my benchmark...
Let's hope I can get my sessions in, it has been a challenge to get out, let alone drum up the energy for these designated seasions!

I missed the intervals session this week. I should do them tomorrow.

You’ve done quite a lot in the past few days though, GM. About 22 miles, I can see from a quick glance at your training. Can you do them later in the afternoon to give your legs a bit of a rest beforehand?

Take care x

I syruggle to fit in the mileage for rts AND the project, largely because I forget to pace myself and just go out for a set route. Todays 7 kms counts as my long one for this final week. Now I must not completely forget to incorporate my hill reps somewhere! I find the tempo/treshold bit easiert. It suits walking most: I march uphill!

I wondered about that Ness. Quite a lot of miles, but at very slow pace with a lot of walking. I thought I'd do 5 x 800m to try and start running a bit further between walk breaks again, but without the pressure of trying to hit a certain pace.

That sounds like an idea. With no pressure on the pace and three minutes recovery slots in between it might help. Hope it goes well. I shall be attempting my threshold run tomorrow.

In a couple of weeks I want to add 200m reps to the 800m and 400m sets. Do I do 20 x 200 (to make up the same distance at 10 x 400 and 5 x 800). I'll find the suggested pace somewhere else on here I expect. And what about the length of the recovery? 1 minute jog?
